Our dance school has been teaching since 2010. We welcome dancers of all skill levels and ages, and we believe that anyone who wants to dance, and shares our passion to dance, can.
Our motto is, "To dance, is to express one's inner soul, thoughts and feelings, through music and movement."
All classes are taught and overseen by Liezl Basson. Liezl has been dancing since the age of three and holds a degree in National Diploma in Dance, from the Tshwane University of Technology. Liezl has also performed in many professional theatrical productions across various dance forms, including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, African, Jazz, Latin American and Ballroom. In addition, she has spent the last decade teaching children from as young as three in both the dance and educational fields. Liezl has obtained various Dance Teachers Certificates from various accredited dance institutions, such as the South African Dance Teachers Association (SADTA), Dance Academy of South Africa (DASA) and South African Dance Acamedy (SADA). Liezl is assisted by Tonya Yaka, who is also trained across various dance forms.
Our studio is affiliated with the South African Dance Academy (SADA) and we partake in examinations according to their schedule, usually held twice a year in June and November.
Competitions are held once a year by the South African Dance School Championships. Students are encouraged to take part as this gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage.
Showcase performances are held at the end of our year and are an ideal way to demonstrate our dancers' hard work and development throughout the year.
